These meetings are open to anyone, you do not need to be a member of a support group. Please come and listen to what is happening in the field of cardiology in Northern Ireland. This may encourage you to become a patient representative and get involved in some of the working groups.
The day normally starts at 11am with coffee, something nice to eat with both old and new friends. The morning session of the meeting usually includes the representatives giving feedback regarding the ongoing work of the groups they sit on. There is time for discussion and questions and there will be several health care professionals available to help explain any issues.
We then stop for a nice lunch and a chat.
For the afternoon session we normally bring someone to speak to us on an something that has been raised at an earlier meeting. This normally starts some discussion raising yet more issues for the representatives to take back to the groups.
The meeting is normally over before 4pm to allow people to get away before the traffic.
If you would like to talk about anything you have seen on this website please give me a ring or email me. My contact details are on the next tab.
I hope to see you soon!
